Dallas –
Luminant’s skilled team of more than 4,200 employees relied on 23 nuclear, coal and natural gas power plant units to help power Texas through ERCOT’s fourth record-setting day this month. According to ERCOT’s estimate of peak hour home energy usage, these units – a combination of baseload and peaking plants – generated enough reliable electricity to power roughly 2.7 million average Texas homes during the 4 – 5 p.m. peak.
